The first trailer for Truth Be Told season 2 is here! Hale can be seen in the trailer as a character named Lachlan. The season will premiere on Apple TV+ on August 20, 2021.

As per Deadline, AppleTV+ has rounded out the ensemble cast of season two of their drama, Truth Be Told, starring Octavia Spencer (as Poppy Parnell) and Kate Hudson (as Micah Keith). The show is a quasi-anthology series that follows a central protagonist, but each season is a new story with new characters. Season two provides a glimpse into America’s obsession with true crime podcasts.

Hale Appleman plays Lachlan, the slick head of business operations behind Micah’s empire.

Yesterday, Entertainment Weekly released a bittersweet video of the cast of The Magicians saying a thank you and goodbye to their beloved characters.

In the video, Hale says:

Eliot, who I would like to thank deeply for five years of non-stop, unexpected adventure, complexity, depth, I’m just really grateful that he allowed me to paint with a wide variety of colors. And [he] was a character who didn’t fit into any specific box, there was always an evolution at stake in his character and throughout the seasons of the show and I’m really grateful for that. So, thank you, Eliot, for never keeping it boring, for always having something witty to say, and for finally being able to confront your demons and move through the scariest parts of your shadow. I will miss you, I will always love you, and see you later, I guess.
